Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

Aker Solutions is looking for a Method Engineer specializing in Lifting & Rigging with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Stord and will be led from there.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Establish, update, and maintain construction methods and sequences.
  • Prepare constructability documents and implement construction and HSSE-friendly designs.
  • Contribute to establishing schedules.
  • Follow up and verify that methods are reflected in project schedules.
  • Participate in design reviews with a focus on constructability.
  • Organize and lead meetings as required.
  • Ensure project personnel are involved in developing construction methods.
  • Provide input to lessons learned reports and workshops, and contribute to improving routines and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all areas within the Method discipline, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Engineering, and Construction.
  • Receive training in relevant software if needed.

Skills and Levels Description:

  • Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree. Relevant work experience can compensate for a lack of formal education.
  • Fluency in both written and oral Norwegian and English.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in EPC processes within Topside and facilities/Renewables Segments.
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office 365, Autodesk, NavisWorks, Aveva E3D, Cranimax, and MIPS.
  • Good knowledge of work processes within the Method discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
