It's no secret that renewable energy is a growing market. 54.6 GW was added to global wind capacity in 2016, a 13% cumulative growth rate. The Global Wind Energy Council believes that the total capacity will reach 800 GW by 2021 from 487 GW in 2016. This will create new power and energy jobs, with the wind energy market in the EU alone creating 520,000 positions by 2020, more than doubling the 2012 total.
