NES Global Talent has recently sponsored a motor racing team who will be taking part in the Yas Marina Circuit Formula Ethara competition as part of the F1 in Schools STEM challenge.
The team is made up of four grade six students from Repton School Dubai and their challenge is to express their creativity and use their STEM skills to design and produce a model showcase car to display, and two race cars to compete on the Formula Ether Race Track.
The students will be responsible for managing budgets, marketing & branding, sourcing sponsorship and designing, manufacturing and racing miniature gas-powered balsa-wood Formula 1 cars.
The cars and teams are judged across a number of different categories, and awards are handed out to the winners. Last year more than 100 students took part in this exciting and challenging event.
As part of the scheme they recently also had the opportunity to visit the NES office in Dubai and meet some of our team and learn a bit more about the business world.
We were delighted to host them and are looking forward to their first big race day on May 12th.
