Trades Exposure 3

NES Sure Flow, a division of NES Global Talent (NES), is pleased to be a Foundation and Capacity Building Partner in the Northern Lights Public Schools Trades Exposure Centre project located in Alberta, Canada.

Piloted at Bonnyville Centralized High School, this educational initiative is a collaboration between the school, oil and gas industry, the community and government. One of the primary goals for this program is to expose students to opportunities in the energy industry through hands-on learning and training. The Trades Exposure Centre has a working service rig on a safe well, classroom and scaffolding shop. NES delivers training geared toward hands-on floorhand training.

“There are so many career opportunities available in the energy industry and this wonderful program has exposed hundreds of students to the unlimited possibilities,” said Darcy Pashak, director of operations, NES Sure Flow. “I’m so pleased that NES has been able to contribute so meaningfully to this valuable real-world training allowing students the ability to make an informed decision about pursuing a career in the local oil industry.”

The First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Trades Carnival will take place on June 6, 2018 at the Trades Exposure Site. The event is expected to attract more than 200 students to connect with oil and gas service companies. NES Sure Flow is sponsoring the barbecue meal for this event along with an instructional demonstration of the service rig – floor hand training course.
