NES at the Grit Awards

This week NES Global Talent were proud to support, Experience Energy, the leading resource for diverse talent, careers, and culture in industry, as they  celebrated the second-ever GRIT Awards, honouring global energy leaders at a celebration in Houston, Texas. The GRIT Awards℠ & Best Energy Workplaces℠, were created to recognise women leaders in energy and the male allies who advocate for their advancement. Nearly 300 nominations poured in from across the world from oil and gas, utilities, and alternative energy companies, academia, and non-government organizations (NGOs). Our very own  Marketing  Director, Vicki Codd was thrilled to take home an award in the “Executive” category.

Winners were selected through a blind application review by six external judges and announced live at an awards ceremony on October 10th. It was an honour to listen to the key note speaker - Haben Girma, the first Deafblind graduate of Harvard Law and White House Champion for Change. It is Haben’s belief that disability is an opportunity for innovation. She travels the world teaching the benefits of inclusion and inspired us all to work harder to drive change.

"The industry is working to build the workforce of tomorrow. Part of that transformation means pulling together the brightest minds and recognising those who are changing the industry from within. The GRIT Awards accomplishes all those things,” said Tig Gilliam, CEO - NES Global Talent.

“We were thrilled to be involved and even more thrilled that one of our fantastic ladies was rewarded for her work supporting energy leaders across staffing and in the wider energy market.”
