Our MD for the APAC region, Matt Underhill offers his view to Pipeline Oil & Gas magazine on current projects and activity in the region despite the recent challenges being faced.

Matt comments:

“Up until the recent Covid crisis there were opportunities across most phases of the oil and gas life cycle in APAC, from new subsea projects to on shore non-conventional field developments, and major downstream capital builds. Coronavirus in the region has caused no shortage of headaches for the logistics and scheduling on projects, operations and staffing in general.

It is unclear at this time how the pandemic will play out, however it appears that despite being at the epicentre of the early stages the North Asia region is starting to get on top of managing the issue.  Talent is starting to flow back on to projects all be it under some understandably strict guidelines and procedures, and companies, governments and industries in general are putting in place (as best they can) the necessary protections to ensure safety and business continuity are maintained.”
