Safety

Safety

Many engineering jobs are based in challenging environments which is why it’s vital you work with a partner that has the global reach and experience to give you and your family peace of mind.

NES Global Talent put the safety and welfare of our contractors at the heart of everything we do, which is why we are one of the only global manpower providers to retain our own security consultants.

By working in partnership with Control Risks and International SOS we provide a full security support function supporting all of our contractors requirements and instilling an enhanced level of confidence when you are on the ground.  We operate a Travel Tracker service which gives us an instant snapshot of where our contractors are when on overseas engagements, along with information on current global health and security threats, allowing us to communicate immediately with you in the event of a crisis.

Safety Alerts

NES keeps abreast of all Health & Safety issues via our global network and international medical & travel security assistance partners. If we are made aware of any issue (be it terrorist or health related) we immediately alert our contractors via social media and on email.

Below are some of our most recent safety alerts:

- Electronic items travel update

- Zika virus update

- Fort McMurray travel update

We also offer all our candidates a multilingual helpline that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

You can call them for:

- Travel advice
- Pre-mobilisation advice
- Any security concerns you may have
- Advice on “areas to avoid”

In the event that an incident occurs we have access to security and travel information via our partners Control Risks/International SOS (a leading independent global risk consultancy) and we are able to engage with them to assist with in a security situation.

COR Accredited

The Certificate of Recognition (COR™) is endorsed by the Canadian Federation of Construction Safety Associations (CFCSA). It provides employers with an effective tool to assess their health and safety management system. COR™ is currently being used across Canada and is a pre-qualification requirement for many contractors working in and out of the province on projects.

NES has maintained a COR Accreditation for a number of years, an accreditation which is very well regarded by clients and held by only a handful of staffing businesses.

Dedicated in-house team

NES also employ a team of consultants dedicated to managing the Health & Safety of the employees working at our Facilities and assisting with the checks and balances of the Host Clients Health & Safety Management System prior to placement and during work terms for the Contracted worker.

This team ensures we are fully compliant with all government, client, company and other Health & Safety regulatory requirements.
