Roland joined NES Global Talent as a Recruitment Consultant in early 2005 after obtaining a BA (Hons) in Law and Management from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland. He has progressed within NES Global Talent is currently Senior Vice President and Global Sales Director following a number of successful years in Aberdeen, Calgary and Houston. Whilst progressing through the company Roland has always maintain a passion and strength for recruitment across various technical disciplines. He was trained in Aberdeen to recruit Electrical, Instrument, Piping and Mechanical Candidates for Operators and EPC’s. Roland’s strongest achievements to date has been his operational and sales contributions that has led to growth of NES Global Talent’s footprint and services in the Americas. Within 18 months of being located in Calgary (2012) Roland took NES Global Talent turnover in Canada from $5M CAD to $35M, installing qualified local staff and infrastructure to the office. Roland has spent around 7 years of his career based in Houston and has played an integral role in the growth and development of NES Global business across North America. Whilst occupying the role of Business Development Manager in Houston in 2009/2010 another one of his key achievements was leading NES Global through an 18 month tendering processing with Chevron Global Upstream, for an International Service agreement worth a yearly contract value approximated at 100 Million USD. This contract services Chevron in 26 Global locations. In addition to Chevron, Roland has secured a number of client contractors that have led to substantial opportunity and growth from a profitability and resource standpoint for the business. Throughout Roland’s 12 year tenure with NES Global Talent he is proud to confirm business relationships across the global, with very strong links within the Oil and Gas sectors in the UK, Canada, USA. This has allowed Roland to partner with many clients and stakeholders on some of the world’s most diverse and exciting projects to deliver solutions and results out of the ordinary.
