Job Description

NES Global Talent are currently looking for an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our Commercial & Legal team, due to departmental growth. 

This is a permanent role reporting directly into the Commercial & Legal Manager - Americas. The role is incredibly varied and includes assisting with a wide variety of commercial and legal matters. The Paralegal will be confident, professional, and proactive in his/her approach, have the ability to work collaboratively, and also be capable of working autonomously. He/she must be comfortable with, and skilled in, interacting with attorneys, other colleagues in various departments, and executives. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft secretary’s certificates, resolutions, written consents, minutes, etc. with minimal supervision;
  • Assist with preparation of board of directors’ meetings;
  • Review NES’ standard contractual terms as well as vendor contractual terms with initial guidance and then summarizing the commercial risk to Commercial and Legal Manager;
  • Support future acquisition due diligence;
  • Support litigation;
  • Assist with the roll out of new internal W2 & 1099 templates across all internal businesses in US;
  • Assist with the implementation of workers compensation and benefits program to 1099 contractors;
  • First review of internal FLSA & 1099 questionnaires, follow up on any issues with Operations team;  
  • Liaising with insurance broker;
  • Recognizing the applicable risk boundaries;
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
  • BA/BS equivalent;
  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal program preferred but not required;
  • At least 2-4+ years working as a paralegal, legal assistant, or executive administrative assistant (in-house experience strongly preferred);
  • Superb attention to detail, organization, drafting, analytical, and communication skills;
  • Self-motivated and ability to proactively assume responsibility and consistently follow through on assignments;
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist legal team in meeting demands on accelerated schedules;
  • Ability and maturity to maintain confidential information;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision/guidance;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
