Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a large operator company, has an opportunity for a Thermal Maintenance Mechanical Lead for a 1 year contract role starting asap in Lloydminster (Monday-Friday). The individual must be local or have accommodations as no LOA or flights are provided. Truck, and PPE is also required by selected candidate.

 This role will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of routine mechanical maintenance services for a Thermal facility and the associated CO2 Capture facility. 

Routine mechanical maintenance includes:
• Pipefitting
• Welding
• Gas Fitting
• General labour
• Millwright services

RESPONSIBILITIES: General labour includes, but is not limited to the following activities
• Equipment isolations
• Removing/replacing equipment
• Rotaflex support
• Transporting equipment/material
• Aerial platform and picker work
• Site clean-up Participating in activities related to planning, scheduling and safe work execution.
• Hazard assessments
• Risk assessments
• Incident investigations
• Meetings
• Permitting
• Task list creation, review and optimization
• Resource deployment
• Work close-out activities

MUST HAVES:
• A minimum 5 years of general Mechanical Maintenance experience within Oil & Gas
• An active Journeymen millwright ticket 
• Strong Computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Active Certificates:
         o First Aid / CPR
         o H2S Alive
         o SABA / SCBA fit testing certification
         o Confined Space Entry o Gas Detection
• Demonstrated safety consciousness and able to promote a culture of safety
• Highly organized, trustworthy, and an individual who takes initiative
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Previous leadership experience
• Experience within SAP’s PM module
