POSITION TITLE:  DCS Process Controls Engineering Specialist


NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client is an international company building a grass roots petrochemical facility in Louisiana. They are growing their technical engineering staff and looking to hire a DCS Process Controls Engineering Specialist.


DCS Process Controls Engineering Specialist
  • Implementing & administering the control system operation and identifying any improvements for the instrument systems
  • Work closely with other engineering and operational team members providing technical support, development, & implementation of the process control systems
  • Design and implementation of future/existing control applications by modifying or designing operator interfaces and/or control logic
  • Identify areas to improve process control systems and design, run, and help deliver on capital projects related to them
  • Provide technical support for DCS systems at chemical production facility across shut-downs, turnarounds, and start-ups
  • Work through Management of Change process, HAZOP’s, procedural document development, mentorship, training of junior engineers, etc.

DCS Process Controls Engineering Specialist
  • BS in engineering ; Chemical or Process Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with process controls engineering in chemical, petrochemical, refinery environment; grass roots project experience a plus!
  • Strong background with design, programming, and implementation of  DCS systems
  • Experience from programming, configuring, and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication, project, and teamwork skills
  • Experience with field instrumentation; valves, transmitters, etc.
