NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and direct staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas Industry. Our client is a reputable operator within the oil & gas sector and has an exciting opportunity for a IT Support Engineer on a 6 month contract.

The successful candidate will be a part of team of IT Support Engineers within the Information Technology department reporting to the IT Support Lead. The IT Support team is the single point of contact for all executive IT support needs. This ranges from everyday support tasks like password resets and software installations to providing advanced support of the latest models of personal mobile devices and executing of meeting support. They will efficiently address executive requests whilst minimising IT risk and ensuring the users downtime is minimalised.

They will be required to perform Executive IT meeting support. These meetings can range from 1-to-1 videoconference calls, as well as large town halls and/or webcasts, requiring multiple video locations, and up to thousands of attendees. There is a documented process to plan and coordinate these events. This also requires in room presence at the hosting location, where the candidate would be the single point of contact for queries and issues during the event. The candidate would work with several suppliers to make the meeting/event a success.

Candidates applying for this role must have demonstrated experience in IT support trouble shooting skills of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 7/10), Apple iOS on mobile devices and Microsoft Office products 2010/2016/O365. They must also be experienced in using and supporting collaboration tools such as CISCO/Polycom Video conferencing equipment, CISCO Telepresence and Lync/Skype for Business meetings.
