POSITION TITLE:  Senior Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION: Midland, TX NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client, based in Texas, provides EPC services specializing in natural gas processing plants. They are looking to expand their engineering team by adding a Senior Mechanical Engineer to focus on the civil/structural aspects of their projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Senior Mechanical Engineer – EPC Projects
  • Report directly to the VP of engineering focusing on the design & conformance of mechanical equipment
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers on the engineering team
  • Perform detailed design, perform quote evaluations, final specifications, and on-site inspections
  • Perform FEA on equipment and piping systems along with P&ID development
  • Continually stay up to date on industry codes and standards
  • Continued interaction with various team member across multiple engineering disciplines along with outside vendors and contractors
  • Provide technical support & troubleshooting per clients/vendors/internal teams needs
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Senior Mechanical Engineer – EPC Projects
  • BS in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering
  • Registered PE preferred
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with an operator and/or & EPC organization including experience leading small teams
  • Extensive design experience with mechanical equipment; pumps, compressors, expanders, etc.
  • Experience with performing stress analysis (Caesar), detailed design, equipment inspection, P&ID’s, and familiarity of industry codes & standards
  • Strong leadership skills along with strong communication and presentation skills
