Job Description

NES Global Talent is working closely with a leading Engineering Design Consultancy in Perth, Western Australia to identify an Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Consultant with previous Built Environment experience in Australia. The successful candidate will be based in Perth full-time and work collaboratively within a multidiscipline building services project design team. You will have the opportunity to work across a number of building projects, including Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial and Mixed Use Developments.

Your responsibilities in the role
  • Produce initial engineering designs, engineering calculations and specifications
  • Input into technical drawings and/or mark-up drawings
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Undertake site visits and monitor progress of works
  • Actively work towards Professional Chartership
  • Assess thermal transfer, daylight, lighting, thermal comfort, HVAC performance and Life Cycle Analysis
  • Collaborate and communicate with Architects, Stakeholders and Clients
  • Work effectively to provide a high quality service to clients
What you need to be successful in the role
  • A recognised engineering or sustainability degree.
  • Minimum 5 years’ Built Environment design consultancy experience
  • Experience with energy/CFD modelling software (both Thermal and HVAC)
  • Understanding of Building Codes and Australian Standards
  • Previous ‘Green Star / NABERS experience highly regarded
