Business Development Manager – Electric Vehicles – Europe - £55k basic + £6k Car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare, holidays & benefits

As a result of continuous growth and development my client is looking for a Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities and to key account manage existing customers, within the Electric Vehicle Market. Based from the UK but covering the whole of Europe they want to recruit a sales professional experienced dealing with OEM’s and Tier 1 organisations in the automotive industry.   

The right candidate will have a vast knowledge and level of experience within the automotive industry. They not only need to have sold within automotive but be well networked, good sales results and have a genuine passion and interest in the development of automotive technology.

Alongside drive, personality and determination the above is required so that you can become a key member of a world leader in advanced materials development and production. Trading in over 100 countries and employing nearly 10,000 you would be part of a truly successful organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Mapping and developing OEM and Tier 1 organisations across Europe in the automotive industry
  • Pipeline and prospecting new clients and opportunities while managing existing business
  • Have a key input into growing sales revenue year on year
  • Key negotiation at Senior or Director level  
  • Building a corporate plan and go to market approach
Essential
  • Have a proven track record in sales both account management and business development
  • Be able to work autonomously and remotely  having a self-driven work ethic
  • Top level organisation and work management skills
  • Detailed market knowledge of the automotive industry
  • Can demonstrate experience of business development within OEM or Tier 1 environments
  • Can demonstrate technical solutions and technical value propositions
Desirable
  • Previous experience in a technical solutions based role
  • Open to and in a position to travel on a regular basis
  • Sold Electric Vehicles or Battery Technology  
  • Previous involvement in strategic sales planning and forecasting
  • Knowledge of thermal ceramics industry
