Job Description

Our client based in Aberdeen, has excellent opportunities for talented individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the engineering, construction, maintenance, modification and operations market. We are currently looking for a Lead Construction Engineer to work at our City Centre offices and manage construction activities across 3 offshore platforms.







    • Responsible for the implementation of company construction and HSE Procedures







    • Responsible for day-to-day contact with assets



    • Setting out health & safety standards as per company procedures within the offshore team



    • Setting work scope priorities in line with the project plan



    • Ensuring correct trade mix to complete project workscopes at multiple work locations



    • Assigning work scopes within the onshore completions team



    • Ensuring timely delivery of input to construction work packs and commissioning procedures. Ensuring quality of the deliverables is maintained in line with corporate standards and procedures



    • Assist with compilation of construction job cards/work packs and ensure that HS & E expectations are met onshore and offshore



    • Raise change requests and provides input to cost and planning departments as required



    • Attends weekly clients’ progress meetings and provide input to weekly and monthly project reports 



    • Regular offshore visits to liaise with offshore teams, carryout audits to ensure compliance with procedures, work packs and to carry out team briefings in conjunction with safety and HR depts.







Qualifications / Personal Attributes:





    • HNC Construction related or equivalent 





    • Previous experience of supervising Construction and Commissioning Engineers



    • Understanding of the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry and applicable construction standards/legislation



    • Full understanding of project planning and manpower histograms



    • Significant experience of offshore construction methodologies



    • Previous experience in an offshore supervisory role



    • Demonstrable UKCS experience of Brownfield projects on multiple assets



    • Good leadership skills to lead others onshore and offshore



    • Ability to work with self motivation and confidence



    • Highly organised and able to prioritise jobs
