POSITION TITLE:  Senior SCADA Systems Engineer

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client is one of the largest petroleum refineries globally with their headquarters based in Texas. They have operations all around the world and looking to add a Senior SCADA Systems Engineer to their corporate team in San Antonio, TX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Senior SCADA Systems Engineer


    • Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and installation of SCADA systems of various company facilities

    • Provide technical support for SCADA systems; physical WAN/LAN Network, virtual servers environment, software, and server/client applications

    • Lead project teams on various SCADA projects

    • Develop and implement trainings and documentation for new systems

    • Perform analysis and testing on software, hardware, and transmission facilities

    • Configures, codes, unit tests, develops reports, and develops test plans

    • Continually looking into market trends and research to keep technology and the forefront



ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Senior SCADA Systems Engineer


    • BS in engineering/technical discipline

    • 8+ years of SCADA systems experience in a petrochemical, chemical, refinery plant environments; midstream, terminals, fuel distribution centers experience preferred

    • Experience programming with various software; Visual Basic, C, etc.

    • Experience from design through commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting

    • Experience with network devices, DCS/PLC, VFDs, flow computers, etc.

    • Ability to travel at least 20% as well as work potentially on the weekends when needed
