Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer – 3 shifts (6-2, 2-10 and 10-6)

Nottinghamshire – £31,000 - £33,000 + Overtime  

A leading Manufacturer within heavy industry are expanding and currently seeking a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer. Working on a site that will soon be going through investment, you will be responsible for working in a team and conducting all maintenance tasks associated with Mechanical Engineering,

The right person for this role will be an experienced time-served, mechanical engineer with a HNC or ONC; Possessing knowledge and experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and welding. An understanding of electrical maintenance would be extremely beneficial.

Responsibilities


    • Ensuring all equipment is serviced and repaired efficiently

    • Pre-Planned Maintenance is carried out effectively and downtime reduced

    • Fault finding and problem solving on machinery and systems

    • PLC fault finding (Allen Bradley & Siemens)

    • Continuous improvement

    • Supporting the Maintenance Manager with electrical and mechanical duties

    • Welding and fabrication



Essential


    • Apprentice trained (Mechanical)

    • Experience of working  on a heavy plant  or similar equipment 

    • PLC experience (preferred but not essential)

    • Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Welding
