Job Description

My client, a pharmaceutical company based in Oxford, is looking for a Senior Facilities Manager to join their Global Operations team.

Duties will include - 

- Operational oversight for laboratories and office space

- Managing and mentoring a team of 3 Facilities Engineers 

- Overseeing the management of hard, soft and building services

- Responsible for asset maintenance, utilities, service contracts and space planning

- Responsible for Health & Safety on site including safety checks, SOPs, risk assessments and training records

- Ensuring department policies are up to date and in-line with statutory obligations and site licenses

- Creating and managing the operating budget 

- Evaluating and optimising processes, services and new products

- Selecting and monitoring key vendors through KPIs

- Interacting with senior management, Health and Safety, Lab Services and Finance on a regular basis

The ideal candidate will - 

- Display excellent organisational and leadership qualities 

- Have experience of driving results and motivating teams

- Have good awareness of HSE regulations 

- Be from a biotech or pharmaceutical background

- Have good understanding of laboratories
