IT Helpdesk Analyst Job Purpose
To provide IT helpdesk, call logging and fault (break/fix) resolution for local area network components, desktops, laptops and servers.
IT Helpdesk Analyst Environment:-
No of network switches 50 approx. switches
No of Servers 88 approx. virtual and physical sewers
No of Printers / Peripheral devices 140 approx. printers & scanners
No of P05 660 approx. desktops and laptops
No of Users 590 approx. permanent and temp users
IT Helpdesk Analyst Work Experience
At least 3 years’ experience of IT Service Desk Support.
Configuration update and repair of Desktops
Laptops and Printers.
Maintenance and repair of local area network devices including, network cabling, switches
peripherals
Ability to follow change control procedures, ensure all changes and user requests are logged, assessed for business impact and tracked to satisfactory completion.
Provide user training for networked applications including remote applications and users.
IT Helpdesk Analyst Desirable Skills & Knowledge

Concern for impact, when dealing with customers, service providers and suppliers
Principle Accountabilities
Administer client’s IT helpdesk, providing call logging, user support and problem
resolution, liaising with users and external support until satisfactory resolved and closed out.
Configure update and repair IT desktops, laptop printers, following defined client’s standards and practice.
Document, label, maintain and repair local area network complements including, peripheral devices, network cabling and switches.
Follow change control procedures to ensure all changes are logged, assessed for GMP /business impact and tracked to satisfactory completion.
Maintain recovery procedures for key systems including data recovery, network backup and infrastructure failures.
Maintain network infrastructure including access and security controls. Ensuring that network infrastructure documentation is complete up to date and maintains traceability.
Provide user training for networked applications including remote applications and users.
