Job Description

Our client, an Aberdeen based technology & service provider to the global oil & gas market, is currently looking to hire 2 x Project Engineers for an ongoing contract position. These positions will be based in the Aberdeen area. 

Job Summary:

- To support the Operations Manager organise and execute onshore and offshore projects from initial sales enquiry to completion.

- To develop and maintain existing client relationships.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Maximise sales revenue

- Manage Customer Relations

- Support the offshore team in the field when deployed on projects and onshore

support activities

- Co-ordinate offshore personnel & equipment logistics/mobilisation/maintenance

- Comply with Offshore HSEQ procedures

- Deliver quotes, proposals, procedures, diagrams, reports to strict deadlines

- Discuss job process and parameters with customers

- Define technical solutions

- Issue budgetary proposals to strict deadlines and following Company guidelines on pricing

- Create work document packs to standard specifications and to strict deadlines

- Liaise with Base Operations personnel to ensure correct equipment is available and correctly allocated to project

- Prepare process flow diagrams using AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio software

- Amend piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) on request

- Ensure optimum utilisation of offshore personnel & equipment

- Responsible for execution of equipment readiness and mobilisation of equipment for projects as required

- Manage project cycle until completion

- Issue post-job report to clients, discuss outcomes, lessons learned, future modifications to improve service

- Liaise with colleagues regarding job outcomes, lessons learned, future modifications to improve service

- Produce ad hoc reports, spread sheets and other documents as required

- Communication within Operations Team to ensure all documentation is kept up to date

- Assist with Base Operations as and when required

- Clear communication of information and queries to other Departments

- Proactive future planning for Operations Team

Additional Requirements of the Job:

• Onshore and Offshore Working

• Additional hours as required to meet strict deadlines

• National and International travel

Qualifications/Experience/Position Demands:

Knowledge of scientific or engineering discipline, together with operational offshore experience
