Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – £45k + Bonus – Shifts (4 on 4 off)

Peterborough

A leading Manufacturer within heavy industry are expanding and currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Working on a site that employs over 250 people, you will be responsible for working in a team and conducting all maintenance tasks associated with Mechanical Engineering,

The right person for this role will be an experienced time-served, mechanical engineer/fitter possessing knowledge and experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, shafts and all other associated machinery. You will also have responsibility for the maintenance and breakdown of Robot’s on site.

Responsibilities


    • Ensuring all equipment is serviced and repaired efficiently

    • Pre-Planned Maintenance is carried out effectively and downtime reduced

    • Fault finding and problem solving on machinery and systems

    • Continuous improvement

    • Working with gearboxes, conveyors, shafts, bearings

    • Responsible for maintenance and repair of robots

    • Welding and fabrication



Essential


    • Apprentice trained (Mechanical)

    • Experience of working  on a heavy plant  or similar equipment 

    • Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, Welding

    • Experience of working on automated plant and machinery

    • Knowledge and experience of Robots
