Job Description:


    • Determines global classification designation for parts, equipment, and technology while maintaining documents in Oracle and other systems to demonstrate reasonable care standards.

    • Understands export licensing, including the ability to apply for/seek export licenses, monitor compliance with license conditions, and keep good internal records of export licenses (USML/ECCN/Israel).

    • Documents and administers Trade Control procedures.

    • Prepares and submits export license applications and classification requests, as required.

    • Monitors import and export documentation, assuring compliance relating to FTAs, licensing and current tariffs.

    • Works with business to leverage appropriate import regime.

    • Provides guidance to local business units on matters concerning import and export requirements including documentation, tariff classifications, customs valuation and country of origin determinations. 

    • Provides procedural guidance to global operations and assists personnel in resolving import/export related issues.

    • Manages record keeping processes and archives entry records.

    • Assists with maintaining/revising import broker audit criteria and completing monthly monitoring/audits of import brokers for compliance.

    • Understands and applies applicable FTAs.

    • Monitors trade system, recommends improvements and works with appropriate groups to ensure integrity of the system.

    • Skills: Knowledge and experience with NAFTA and FTAs requirements and monitoring.

    • Strong knowledge and experience with HTS and ECCN classification.

    • Strong relationship development skills



 

Required Skills and Experience:


    • Bachelor's Degree in Business or International Trade preferred

    • Typically requires 5years of Trade with an emphasis on importing related topics and issues

    • Customs Brokers License or Certified US Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) (preferred) Strong ECCN and HTS classification skills required.

    • Bi-lingual preferred, Spanish
