Job DescriptionMAIN FUNCTIONS
Develop technical training programs and help others develop skills that will make them better professionals. Extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude. Serve as key interfaces between training and competency curriculum subject matter experts (SMEs), the broader training organization, and the respective governance councils responsible for the areas they are assigned to support. May be responsible for developing the global curriculum to ensure proper training plans/roadmaps are established within their functional support areas as it relates to SCORR (Safety, Compliance, Operational, Regulatory and Required) training essential for the safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and efficient operation of Production, Manufacturing, and Midstream assets / organizations.
TASKS AND RESPOSIBILITIES
In addition to all Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, Level 2: • Focal point for developing and maintaining training material within their functional support area. • May participate in and/or facilitate competency and training networks and other collaboration forums. • Expert understanding of their Global Operations Training System as well as a solid understanding of their respective organizations' various management systems such as Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS), Global Reliability System, Molecule Management, Risk Management Systems, the Production and/or Manufacturing Business Team architecture, etc. • Able to utilize Global Operations Training system mapping, planning, reporting, content management and stewardship tools to assess the functional health of their training
portfolio by Site / Region / Organization, etc. • Develop, upgrade, and maintain global training catalogues/matrix by functional operating / operating support roles.

area, global training systems knowledge • Functional Skills (as needed): console knowledge - general and specific unit, HR technology, manage learning programs, vendor management, instructional design • Preference for experience in Oil/Gas training and student development • High level verbal and written communication skills • Working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) • Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds
Skills & Qualifications
Strong Written/Verbal/Presentation Skills - ability to clearly convey information and confidently engage with all organizational levels – Prior experience working with engineers/technical staff, a PLUS (oil & gas preferred) – Prior training delivery, facilitation and/or event management experience is a MUST - Must be organized and have strong attention to detail in order to adapt to changing organizational needs - Goal-oriented, able to work independently, prioritize and drive projects to completion - Be creative and a problem-solver, results-oriented - Ability to drive process improvements and leverage productivity/collaboration tools (Microsoft Office Suite/SharePoint/Skype) Technical Skills: - Intermediate skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, and SharePoint ? Skill level can vary, but must be able to quickly learn MS Office (including SharePoint and OneNote) and communication tools as needed (Skype/Outlook) - Knowledge of analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) helpful but not required
Scope of Work
Knowledge Transfer Specialist plays a key role in executing the Targeted Knowledge Transfer (TKT) strategy for the Downstream. TKT is a unique process that allows the transfer of critical / tacit knowledge from an individual to a team of people. The Specialist will work directly with the Downstream TKT Process Advisor to identify and support all activities related to sustaining the program for the Downstream business lines. In addition, the role will collaborate with others to support the adoption of new behaviors and techniques associated with the TKT process. The position will provide direct day to day support as well as regular stewardship support to all levels of the leadership (management & technical). Tasks and Responsibilities - Maintain repository, steward team progress, collect feedback
and drive process improvements - Assist with new TKT team kick-off, provide support and drive teams to completion - Create learning activities, self-serve resources and marketing materials - Update knowledge transfer best practice models and tools to enable improvements in organizational effectiveness - Assist with training coordination and delivery globally - Interface with technical and managerial leadership to progress teams - The Specialist supports the implementation of the knowledge transfer strategy, which is developed by the TKT Process Advisor
