POSITION TITLE:  Business Development Manager – Docking and Mooring Systems

LOCATION: Houston, TX

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client is global leader in manufacturing products and providing solutions to the marine industry. They are expanding their sales team in Houston and looking to grow their existing and several new product lines across the North American and Caribbean markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Business Development Manager – Docking and Mooring Systems

  • Primary focus will be driving sales for company product lines by building new customers and maintaining and growing existing ones
  • Work closely with clients and customers from conceptual design/proposals through installation of products
  • Work multiple sales projects at any given time
  • Work with leadership and marketing teams to establish target markets and sales strategies
  • Constantly networking, going trade shows, cold calling, etc.
  • Work short and long sell cycles as quick as few weeks to well over a year
  • Travel to various sites in North America & the Caribbean for customer meetings
  • Provide and collaborate on  technical designs with product engineering teams
  • Provide sales forecasts, cross-sell with other company departments to drive more business, contract negotiation, putting together bid & proposals, etc.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Business Development Manager – Docking and Mooring Systems

  • BS in Engineering preferred; Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Industrial Distribution
  • 7+ years of experience ideally in technical sales in the offshore or marine markets
  • Experience with mechanical equipment and instrumentation a plus
  • Knowledge of oil & gas terminals and ports
  • Strong experience with proposals, presentations, customer interfacing, and field based sales
  • Experience working long and short sell cycles
  • Ability to travel and work remotely when needed
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and strategic thinker
