Job Description

Primary Responsibilities Include:

•    Develop and coordinate schedule management for projects; 

•    Prepare and maintain detailed current project schedules; 

•    Prepare detailed monthly schedule reports and analysis; 

•    Provide planning support to the Project Manager and Project Services Lead for planning, progress reporting, forecasting and independent progress verifications checks of performance of work in the project schedule; 

•    Using Primavera P3e planning tools, provide planning support to the Project Manager and Project Services Manager during Engineering and Design, Construction and Start Up activities, including planning, progress reporting, forecasting and independent progress verifications, checks of performance of work, as well as capturing project risk impacts in the project schedule; 

•    Participate in schedule risk analyses and provide mitigation proposals to the project teams; 

•    Provide planning advice to the project team; 

•    Work closely with the projects team to monitor Management of Change process, identifying schedule impacts of proposed changes and incorporating those impacts into the Project Work Plan;

•    Maintain central feedback and learning on scheduling from the project and contribute to updating of "Best Practices" in project planning; 

•    Ensure safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of a quality project for the development teams' scopes of work; 

•    Determine the project control procedures; and 

•    Develop and define the project control system limits.    

Minimum Requirements for Position:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; plus

•    5 years of experience in the international energy sector to include petrochemical and oil and gas business sectors;

•    With experience directly related to project planning of complex engineering projects with use of project management principles; 

•    Experience to include 2 years project management experience using Primavera p3e; 

•    Domestic travel required 10%;

•    Must be PMP certified;

•    ** This position requires employee to visit various unanticipated worksite locations throughout the U.S.  Employee will reside within commuting distance of and report to Houston, Harris County, Texas office.
