POSITION TITLE:  Commercial Lead – New Ventures – Resident EXPAT

LOCATION: Middle East

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within multiple industries. Our client, one of the largest fully integrated oil & gas companies, has facilities and operations all around the globe. They building out a new venture in the chemicals production market and looking to hire two Commercial Leads to help grow and expand the business. This position will be a long-term resident expat based position located in the Middle East region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Commercial Lead – New Ventures – Resident EXPAT

  • Lead the technical and commercial developments of petrochemical projects from inception through construction and commissioning
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify key areas for market competitiveness from commercial, marketing, logistics, supply/value chain, as well as leading negotiations of agreements on feedstock and marketing
  • Develop position papers and business strategies for projects and new ventures while working closely with legal, marketing, business development, and international operations’ teams
  • Provide mentorship to junior level and less experienced personnel
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Commercial Lead – New Ventures – Resident EXPAT

  • BS in Chemical Engineering with MS/PHD preferred
  • MBA highly desired
  • 17+ years of experience in petrochemical projects and commercial activities
  • Strong experience leading negotiations and building business strategies
  • Experience working internationally in the Middle East
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of internal & external personnel
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of petrochemical processes and capabilities
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
