Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sr. HRIS Analyst reports to the HRIS Manager in Human Resources and is responsible for the support, maintenance and configuration of the Oracle Fusion HCM HRIS system. This individual will serve as a technical point-of-contact for human resources functional areas and assists users with system maintenance and functionality, ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, production support, and project management, training, analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities, and other administrative HRIS or Payroll needs to ensure successful integration with downstream systems.

KNOWLEDGE

Must have and/or develop an in-depth knowledge of Fusion HCM system functionality.

Requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of HR systems (core HRIS and talent) processes, functionality, structures and data

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES


    • Maintains Fusion HCM structures

    • Assists in HRIS design and system development

    • Supports system end users with resolution of data entry, access or workflow approval issues

    • Monitors Fusion HCM workflow to:

        • Identify and resolve delays

        • Respond to request to reroute transactions

        • Work with IT on any workflow issues

        • Support internal and external audits when approval documentation is required 



    • Monitors integration with other systems using employee and contingent worker information

    • Understands downstream implications of Fusion HCM data changes and adjusts/prepares accordingly.  Ensures that data is interfaced correctly.

    • Works with IT on end user role changes

    • As available and as needed, documents new project requests and coordinates governance around priorities and status

    • Assists in the design and performance of system testing for new system functionality, patches and upgrades

    • As needed, serves as the subject matter expert for other applications used in Human Resources; researching and resolving HRIS issues.

    • Troubleshooting, research, report writing, and creating data flows for process improvement

    • Conducts general and specific systems training programs for employees.

    • Supports both HR and the business in the areas of HR and Benefits self-service applications.

    • Researches, analyzes, and reports on data and metrics pertaining to Human Resources

    • Familiar with relational database concepts

    • Ability to manage HRIS initiatives (small & large that do not qualify for PMO management) from inception through delivery

    • Assist in the change process to ensure business requirements are being addressed through HR systems and processes

    • Assists in HRIS design and system development

    • Identifies and addresses system problems, and assists in the development and execution of best practices across the organization.

    • Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel strategies



QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)


    1. Education and Certifications – Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or business/technology related degree

    1. Experience – Minimum of 5 years in HRIS experience.  Systems implementation experience is a plus. Experience with Oracle Fusion, R12 or PeopleSoft a plus.

    1. Skills

        1. Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules including HR, Benefits, Payroll (incl. ADP), Talent, and Compensation preferred

        1. Knowledge of SQL, Dataloader and Oracle HRIS (Fusion or R12 preferred)

        1. Experience with advanced report writing and query tools

        1. Advanced MS Office experience including Excel

        1. Advanced data analysis skills and experience processing large data volumes in Excel or Access

        1. Strong understanding of HR systems, data structures and processes; Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred

        1. Ability to think critically as well as the ability to multi-task

        1. Must be solutions-oriented and have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
