Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Plan and prepare for well site operations; assure adherence to all safety regulations

      Supervise and assist crew members in the preparation of the unit and calibration of equipment

    • Conduct Wireline well site operations to the satisfaction of the customer at the well site

    • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedures pertaining to Company equipment, tools, and practices to ensure maximum operating efficiency

    • Maintain customer relations by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and ensure the confidentiality of all logging operations

    • Maintain direct contact with customer's representatives throughout the logging or completion operation; interpret common services in the assigned service area for customers

    • Prepare, draft, and complete all logs for printing on location or immediately upon return to district office from job site, depending on company and customer requirements

    • Promptly and accurately submit all required reports and data

    • Maintain assigned equipment and facilities in a neat, workable condition and conduct yourself in an exemplary manner at all times

    • Support Logging Services EHS objectives; participate in company and client EHS activities


    • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

    • A minimum of 1 year of Wireline pump down (non-slick line) experience

    • Receive and maintain clearance to handle explosive material with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATF) 

    • Possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Hazardous Material Endorsement OR ability and willingness to obtain and maintain one within 90 days of employment

    • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required

    • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

    • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

    • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record 

Desired Characteristics:

    • 3+ years of Wireline pump down (non-slick line) experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

    • Working knowledge of cased hole logging, evaluation tools, perforating operations, and pressure control

    • Working knowledge of Systems, Identification, dissemble, inspection, and Assemble Wireline equipment

    • Equipment troubleshooting experience 

    • Corrective action and customer complaint investigation training

    • Experience in Asset Integrity Management

    • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Regulations

    • Strong knowledge in operating electronics, computers, and software used in cased-hole logging

    • Proficient with a personal computer and common applicable functions / programs

    • Strong oral and written communication skills
