Job Description

Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator based in Perth, are currently recruiting for an Offshore Instrument Commissioning Engineer to join them on a 6 month contract on a 3/3 roster.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the Lead with the remaining instrument commissioning and start-up activities
  • Technical specialist in Control & Automation with the ability to understand and manage a range of technical issues concurrently
  • Fault finding instrument issues and provide suggestions of corrective actions and assist implementation
  • Instrument loop check sheets and system functionality check sheet
  • Assist in the development of permit to work applications to allow scope completion of remaining instrument check sheet and punch clearance scope
  • Assist and contribute to reduction of standing alarms and transfer of alarm areas as part of alarm management strategy
  • Assist in the development of permit to work applications to allow scope completion of remaining instrument check sheet and punch clearance scope
 
Experience and Qualifications required: 
  • Technical specialist in Control & Automation with the ability to understand and manage a range of technical issues concurrently
  • Prior experienced in the support and delivery of commissioning scope and start up activities
  • Experience with standalone control systems/package PLC’s and the serial interface to the DCS
  • Experience with the set up and commissioning of Fiscal metering skids and associated QMI’s
  • Good team worker: carry out activities in close cooperation with Company operations, contractor and vendor staff
