Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, is currently seeking a Chemical Service Representative in Red Deer, AB. The qualified candidate would preferably be local or have accommodations in the Red Deer area as no LOA will be given. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. 

Essential Responsibilities:


    • Support field sales by providing technical assistance, delivering chemical, testing of water samples, pulling samples, monitoring programs. Inventory chemical surveillance and chemical pump operating at the right rate

    • Take samples and test water samples and crude and submit results of samples to account managers for recommendation to the client

    • Safe transport of production chemicals to customer locations throughout Central Alberta

    • Adjust product dosage rates and/or change product applications in order to meet customer defined objectives

    • Service reporting in regard to day to day activities and chemical rates and inventories in the field

    • Building and maintaining working relationships with internal and external customers

    • Responsible for inventory management and control

    • Assisting Account Managers with day to day operations

    • Maintenance of storage yard and shop

    • Reaching quarterly and annual inventory targets

    • Product quality control

    • Processing appropriate paperwork in a timely manner

    • Sampling wellheads and Vessels in a safe manner

    • Chemical Pump repair

    • Special duties as assigned



Qualifications/Requirements:


    • Clean Driver’s Abstract

    • Strong problem solving skills and good customer service skills

    • High school diploma

    • Oilfield production systems experience/ knowledge

    • Strong communication

    • Self-motivated

    • Strong organizational skills

    • Ability to work with minimal supervision

    • Basic computer skills

    • Must be located in the Red Deer area 



Desired Characteristics:


    • 2-5 years of experience in the field

    • 2 year technical degree
