Essential:- Software Development Lifecycle. Cognos. SQL. Basic DBA knowledge. Lead Application Support Engineer to provide in-depth technical expertise & direction in the selection or development, testing & implementation of efficient, cost effective solutions. Lead Application Support Engineer to leads the systems development process, incl. planning & monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities within other groups, reviewing deliverables & communicating to management. Understand customers’ business objectives & system requirements & work closely with their customers to determine their strategic information requirements & measure performance against expectations. Lead Application Support Engineer to leads the customer resolution to refine conceptual system requirements into a technical design consisting of job flows & program specifications.
Define implementation activities & assign individual responsibilities; assume Leadership role for implementation activities; coordinating implementation with other parts of the enterprise & provide routine status of activities to Project Manager or direct supervisor.
Develop project plans, schedules & resource requirements.
Directs the work of technical, programming support for both less experienced staff & contractor resource. Participates in the technical evaluation of assigned staff & in the identification of development needs.
Devises data verification methods & standard system procedures, leads the systems testing, prepares program test data, tests & debugs programs. Serve as technical expert or lead on projects/programs.
To project manage small to medium sized projects.
Accountable for providing application solutions to the business, from conception through to delivery & support.
Lead Application Support Engineer to ensure Application Development work contracted out by the IT department to individual contractors or a company is delivered on time to full specification.
Is responsible for both individual contractor & software development service companies on behalf of the business, for new application development & support enhancements.
Responsible for ensuring support contracts are in place for key technology platforms.
Responsible for defining Technical Agreements with third party support companies & ensuing an acceptable level of service is provided to the business, including adherence to quality procedures.
Responsible for the smooth transition (to customer services, infrastructure & / or end users) & rollout of any selected off the shelf packages including any configuration, modification & documentation required to meet our specific business needs.
Responsible for ensuring adherence to the company standards on documentation for both quality & non-quality systems either within the SLC process or otherwise, including compliance with applicable Corporate & Divisional Policies & procedures.
Accountable for developing basic bespoke solutions to applicable coding standards & the appropriate selection & use of the required application language / platforms.
Accountable for escalation support for applications delivered & / or supported by the IT department & the interface to third party or CIT support.
Responsible for maintaining an overview of IT applications & maintaining an Application Portfolio & ensuring Licence compliance.
Responsible for configuration management of non-quality solutions.
Compliance with EHS regulations & clients standards by adhering to EHS systems, programmes & procedures, being accountable for the Health & Safety of themselves & others & by highlighting where improvements to EHS performance can be made.
Accountable for maintaining the effectiveness of the Quality System at the site in accordance with divisional requirements & applicable regulations; for production systems this may include the regular review of audit Log activity & documentation of findings in accordance with applicable procedures.
