Key Account Manager – Seals & Bearings – UK - £60k basic + £6k Car allowance, bonus, pension, healthcare, holidays & benefits

As a result of continuous growth and development my client is looking for a Key Account Manager to build relationships and upsell/ cross sell, within the Automotive Market. Based from the UK or Europe but covering the whole of globe they want to recruit a sales professional experienced dealing with OEM’s and Tier 1 organisations in the automotive industry.  

The right candidate will have a vast knowledge and level of experience within the automotive industry. They not only need to have managed key accounts within automotive but be technically astute, good sales results and have a genuine passion and interest in the development of automotive manufacturing.

Alongside drive, personality and determination the above is required so that you can become a key member of a world leader in advanced materials development and production. Trading in over 100 countries and employing nearly 10,000 you would be part of a truly successful organisation.

Responsibilities


    • Managing and developing relationships with OEM and Tier 1 customers internationally in the automotive industry

    • Pipeline and manage clients and opportunities in order to grow and develop accounts

    • Have a key input into growing sales revenue year on year. Agree and take responsibility for revenue and profit numbers 

    • Key negotiation at Senior or Director level 

    • Study product information to acquire and develop professional knowledge



Essential


    • Have a proven track record managing Key Accounts in the Automotive sector 

    • Be able to work autonomously and remotely  having a self-driven work ethic

    • Top level organisation and work management skills

    • Detailed market knowledge of the automotive industry

    • Can demonstrate experience of business development within OEM or Tier 1 environments

    • Can demonstrate technical solutions and technical value propositions



Desirable


    • Previous experience in a technical solutions based role

    • Open to and in a position to travel on a regular basis

    • Sold Seals and Bearings  

    • Previous involvement in strategic sales planning and forecasting

    • Ability to read technical drawings and knowledge of industry
