Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas industry. Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse Technician in Edson, AB. Candidates must be local or have accomodations in the area as no LOA will be provided. Working schedule is 5/2, 8 hour work days. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate offsite material requirements for inventory replenishment, staged materials, material returns and used materials at identified offsite warehouses

• Facilitate replenishment of consumables managed by suppliers through coordination and active program management (VMI)

• Conduct annual physical inventory counts as required

• Transport materials to and from controlled offsite location as required

• Perform general housekeeping of warehouse locations and surrounding premise with material locations

• Perform onsite material planning and staging assistance as required for shutdown and planned M&R activities

• Act as liaison between regional field materials management staff and operations / M&R groups to understand materials management requirements and facilitation of associated service level support

• Understand and steward CVE Internal Controls Standards and established materials management compliance requirements

• Understand and comply with all corporate safety standards, including Safe Operating Practices, and promote safety culture among peers and service providers

• Represent Field Materials Management in a professional manner and advocate for the Materials Management Model Strategy


Basic Qualifications:

• Candidates with minimum 3 -5 years Oil & Gas industry Materials Management experience

• Strong time management and organizational skills are required

• Candidate should possess strong attention to detail skill set

• Strong computer and systems skills (MS suite)

• Drivers license with proven safe driving record and attitude

• Willingness to travel daily to numerous offsite warehouses as required

• Effective communication skills, positive attitude and an orientation as a team based contributor



Preferred Qualifications:

• Post secondary education (Business/Supply Chain) from a community college or technical institute

• Fluent with SAP Materials Management Module

• Strong business acumen to include conceptualization and practical working knowledge of Materials Management and Logistics
