Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Specialist will be responsible for designated strategic sourcing activities such as, working with business stakeholders to understand business priorities and requirements. The will need to builds and maintain profiles of supply market and key suppliers including existing and new suppliers. They will provide commercial advice to senior management on market trends, commodity cost drivers and cost control strategies.
The successful candidate will employ financial analysis and economic modelling skills to evaluate supplier proposal pricing and develop flexible contractual pricing models which accommodate inflation, currency, scope changes, and other areas of risk mitigation and cost control. They will also use their knowledge of commercial contract law to guide the development and assessment of pertinent contractual terms and conditions.
Candidates applying for this role must have experience working on a refinery or petrochemical plant project. Experience with Sourcing, contracting, contract management, supplier management, contract law, auditing and enterprise agreements will be highly regarded. Candidates would preferably have a degree in a technical or related business discipline. If you do not meet these minimum requirements please do not apply for this role.
