Sales Support Team, Customer Order Management & Material Management – Industrial Applied Automation – Northampton - £45k-£48k basic salary + attractive bonus, private medical, pension

My client is looking for a Sales Support Team Lead who will operate in a leadership function. The function is to use training, development and coaching to maximise productivity and shape a positive culture. The role will manage both the Customer Order Management team and the Materials Management Team.

    • Coach, mentor and develop staff by using tools to augment their attitude, skills and knowledge

    • Deliver the local GB strategy, through setting and meeting department goals

    • Empower employees ownership and responsibility for their jobs and goals

    • Deliver a high performing Customer Order Management team to meet customers’ needs

    • Continuous improvement of the Customer Order Management team

    • Take ownership of all assigned activities “make it your mission” to see them through


    • Working in a SME delivering low volume, high mix, complex products

    • Experience in a customer facing role delivering high quality customer experience

    • Detailed and significant experience in the importation of non EU goods

    • Experience in order management, supply chain and inventory control

    • Experienced using  a computerised inventory control System


    • Educated to degree level or equivalent in appropriate discipline

    • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques such as Root cause analysis, 8d reporting, swim lane process diagrams

    • Knowledge of DISC personality profiling

    • Knowledge of buying services from none EU countries

    • Experience of implementation of Health & Safety

    • Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and management




    • £45K - £48k basic salary
