NES Global Talent is looking for 2 Offshore Process Engineers for an assignment in West Houston. The scope will be to support a backlog of operations requests for four FPSO’s.
Water Injection Scope
There are several small projects for improving the water injection uptime and performance, including installing new control valves and start up logic for the water injection pumps. The larger scope for the water injection system is to do a comprehensive functional safety review and risk assessment for the water injection related safety trips with the intent on reducing number of overrides currently necessary on the system. The skill set for this is a process engineer that is knowledgeable on water injection systems (including SRP), who has a strong functional safety background, and can assist on control valve sizing and start up logic.
Crude Separation and Cargo Rundown
This scope includes studies on the crude run down to the cargo tanks. There are issues with the crude oil not being stabilized enough which is causing excessive flashing in the cargo tanks. There are multiple proposed solutions for which the scope would be to further detail out these solutions with an engineering study that included debottlenecking the wash water system, evaluating the feasibility of installing run down cooler, and some operational procedures. The skill set for this is a process engineer that is knowledgeable in crude separation systems who is strong in Hysys and hydraulic calculations.
