Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, is currently seeking a Document Controller in Redwater, AB for a 6 month contract ( to start). The qualified candidate would preferably be local or have accommodations in the Redwater area as no LOA will be given. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. 

Role Purpose

Ensure equipment controlled documents are maintained to their latest revision for the 

facility. Establish site document control standards, procedures and access points for staff to utilize. Advise leadership of potential document control gaps onsite, and provide solutions to resolve gaps.

Accountabilities

o Manage the updating and storing of all site procedures

o Ensure facility equipment data books and other relevant controlled information are up to date.

o Develop standards/processes for checking controlled documents in and out of the maintained library.

o Identify when equipment drawings need to be returned for use by another user.

o Identify gaps in site specific document control and work to close gap

o Collaborate with Operations Engineering and Maintenance to identify new controlled documents

o Purge documents which are no longer relevant or needed to be controlled

o Organize and remove as necessary any legacy documentation

Responsibilities

o Lead the development of site organization and storage of a variety of document types both hard copies and digital

o Develop and maintain shared drive folder structure to follow best practices for document control

o Develop and maintain controlled copies of equipment data sheets and other relevant information

o Assist Operations Engineering with identifying, controlling and maintaining new controlled documents

o Manage access and edit abilities to controlled documents

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 high school diploma

• 2+ years oil and gas or equivalent energy industry Document Control experience
