Job Description

NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client is currently seeking a SCM- Analyst (Work Order Management) in Calgary, AB. The qualified candidate will be local to Calgary, AB as no LOA or accommodations will be provided. The schedule will be Monday- Friday, 40 hrs/week.

The Work Order Analyst is accountable for the formation, execution, invoice payment process and the close out of all work orders for Project field and office support services. 


•Independently form & execute work orders

•Administering Work Order processing by ensuring that all work orders are sufficiently funded to facilitate the payment of invoices

•If applicable ensure the progress payments, Holdback and Retainage are released as required

•Assist and provide support for Work Order tracking and reporting

•Facilitate the invoice payment by coordinating information with Accounts Payable, handlings of special payments request and Contractor inquiries

•Ensure that invoices are paid within the defined payments of the Work Order

•Ensure that all Work Orders are efficiently and effectively closed out

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•Applicable Post-secondary education – business degree or diploma – with specific education in the area of contract law, accounting, business, or construction administration

•Minimum 4 years related experience in Contracts Administration preferably within the Oil and Gas industry

•Experience with Oracle Financials would be an asset, intermediate Excel user required

•High level of discretion and confidentiality

•Verbal and written communication of technical items and analysis of business implications

•Aptitude and mature communication skills related to developing and maintaining effective working relationships

•Very detail oriented and organized

•Ability to effectively manage and prioritize workload, bring issues forward and develop working relationships at all levels of the organization
