Job Description

Our Client is looking for experienced Warehouse Personnel for positions both contract and staff in Reading











To receive, issue, locate, pick, maintain and ship all commodities within the Warehousing facility, ensuring that all transactions are executed through the MRP system (SAP). During the execution of this role there will be a requirement to use mechanical lifting equipment and hand tools. To carry out any other general duties within the warehouse environment to allow the company to operate efficiently.  Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner. 


  • Daily management of our or client inventory located within the UK Warehouses.

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with due regard to HSSE regulations / legislation and in accordance with the companies procedures and policies, while also maintaining the highest personal, professional and ethical standards
  • Ensuring accurate stock checks / cycle counts are carried out and systems updated with correct information.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the warehouse, including the Yard and other areas under Warehouse control.
  • High focus on 5S principles and Continuous Improvement.
  • Process all work orders for kitting, ensuring kitting is completed in line with planning requirements to support  operations.
  • Work with planning to communicate, resolve and fulfil all shortages which may occur during kitting process.
  • Receipt of incoming goods, ensuring all information is accurate and the timely resolution for any queries which may arise.
  • Ensure all inspection flags are adhered to for incoming goods.
  • Process all outbound request through to completion of shipping including consolidating and packing.
  • Ensure all logistics, customs and client requirements are adhered to for all outbound shipments. 
  • Communicate with internal customers such as planning, procurement, manufacturing and projects to resolve queries, manage priorities and update on progress.
  • Carry out all preservation requirements.
  • Perform any other work related tasks as requested by department management, which require the same level of skill and responsibility.




  • Competent in and knowledgeable of general Warehouse activities.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of SAP MRP system
  • Working Knowledge of Kardex systems
  • Forklift Certificate
  • Crane certificate.
  • Must demonstrate good time management and organisational skills
  • Confident communicator both verbally and written. 
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles & drawings.
  • Must demonstrate a flexible attitude towards working patterns
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and exercise tolerance and consistency when dealing with others.
  • Be a self-starter, capable of working on own initiative in order to achieve tasks.
  • Ability to work to a high standard in order to improve and maintain quality.
