Job Description

My client is a rapidly expanding global Pharmaceutical / Medical Device company based in Surrey. They have a wide portfolio of life changing products and drugs, along with their company values and ethics this makes them one of the most rewarding conglomerates in the industry to work for! 

They are looking for an experienced QMS Project Manager to lead the QMS / ERP integration project they are currently implementing across their group of companies. This is a great opportunity to lead an exciting business critical project and the contract is expected to last 18 months

Responsibilities will include - 

- Providing day-to-day management of the iQMS project including mobilising the teams and leading team meetings 

- Leading the planning and implementation of the iQMS and the deployment of the system across the company network 

- Ensuring the scope of the project is clarified through a Team Charter

- Estimating and co-ordinating internal resources and third parties for the flawless execution of the iQMS project 

- Ensuring the alignment of the iQMS and ERP projects and that the linkages required between the two systems are fully established and integrated 

- Collaborating with the ERP Project Manager to ensure that the projects are aligned and that the ERP team are aware of the project requirements 

- Designing and implementing strategies for the deployment of the iQMS to meet the required project timelines 

- Ensuring project activities are managed according to agreed costs, quality and timelines

- Reviewing protocols, reports, agreements, expenditure forms and invoices 

- Ensuring utilisation of project management tools and mentoring team members on the use of project management tools 

- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project to Directors and other key stakeholders, resolving or escalating issues in a timely manner

- Generating status reports for monthly meetings, collating information provided by project team members and ensuring submission within the required deadlines 

- Participating in project team meetings and ensuring meeting minutes and decisions are documented 

- Assisting in creating the agenda, updating the risk logs and finalising team meeting documents 

- Contributing to the problem solving of the project 

- Running the risk management process and identifying potential risks or threats at an early stage 

- Generating and managing project budgets ensuring project costs are regularly updated 

- Developing and implementing the MS projects gantts plan to schedule project timelines and track performance

- Reinforcing deadlines to ensure goals are met in specific timeframes

- Identifying mistakes throughout the project and sharing the lessons with the project team 

- Assisting in maintaining all documentation associated with the iQMS project as per GMP guidelines 


Skills and experience required - 

- Experience in running similar large scale projects, ideally on a global scale 

- Knowledge and experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals 

- Proficient in MS project, word, powerpoint and excel 

- Good interpersonal and communication skills 

- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
