Our client, is currently seeking a Instrument & Electrical Planner in Sarnia, ON. The qualified candidate would preferably be local or have accommodations in the Sarnia, ON area as no LOA will be given.

Position Title:

Instrument & Electrical Planner

    • Full Time

    • Regular work hours

    • Extended hours may be required at times

Requirements / Expectations of role:

    • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills in a team environment

    • Instrument / Electrical Planner will develop detailed job plans and job packs for Turnaround I&E scope, under the direction of the Turnaround Lead Planner

    • Understanding of planning I&E equipment such as but not limited to the below:

        • Control Valve removal & install

        • Instrument Tap repairs

        • Transmitter panels

        • Alarm panels

        • Remote operated valves

        • Motor cleaning / testing / overall / replacements

        • Temp Power installation

        • Breaker scopes

    • Detailed plans to be developed for different I&E scopes of work, including input from other disciplines to assist with duration and resource requirements

    • Work with Engineering, lead planners, FLS’s and execution leads to develop best options for repair scopes

    • Builds Job packages with defined documentation

        • Identifies steps in the plan to execute the work

        • Identifies the required resources

        • Materials identified

        • Durations assigned to each step

        • Summary cover sheet developed

        • Required drawings identified and included in job pack

    • Schedule ESA on field visits and power approvals

    • Work with TA Team to develop temporary power requirements and layouts

    • Work with engineering on sizing power cables, temp generators, etc

    • Field checks Workscope/plans

    • Identify materials/tools required to complete jobs and fill in BOMs

    • Identify/resolve scope and potential execution issues

    • Provides input/feedback for duration, resources, logic and job steps

    • Execution focus to ensure plans are complete and of high quality

    • Computer skills are required for this position, such as Excel, word, power point, email, TA has a planning tool that individual will be trained on.
