Engineering Manager – Permanent Position – Leading Global Chemical Company – Belgium – Industry leading salary and package

A world renowned innovative chemical company, with a strong focus on a high safety and values led culture are going through a significant major growth strategy. Due to their enviable investments across mega projects they require a highly skilled Engineering Manager to be responsible for large scale JV growth projects in the region of €500M - +€1B both within and outside of Europe.

It is essential that the successful person comes from an extensive background within large value new developments/mega value projects within petrochemical industry (such as polyolefin, ethane cracker or refinery plant’s/complex’s). Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in the EU and be flexible to travel.

The role will be responsible for a very large project team of EPC contractors and owner’s engineering team and will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and risk management. It is required that this person has strong experience in projects lifecycle particularly FEED. The scope of the position covers the engineering of the study/project to ensure it is completed according to agreed scope, time, budget and to the correct quality.

The projects will typically be new plants with a focus on speciality products and technology. The role with have a high level of autonomy and influence at senior level internally and externally.

The Engineering Manager will ensure that the engineering contractor develops the overall project execution plan and will have the final say on technical acceptability to ensure relevant local and international standards and regulations are adhered to by the contractor, vendors and subcontractors.
