Job Description

NES Sure Flow is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas Industry. Our client, a well-known operator company, has an opportunity for a Contract Facility Integrity Technologist 1 year contracts in Conklin, AB. This is a 7 day on/ 7 day off – 12 hours per day camp based role. Flights/ Bus transportation is provided to site from designated hubs.

This is a field-based role, working as part of the In-service Inspection team reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Integrity Management Site Execution. The responsibilities include regulated and non-regulated piping, pressure vessels, pressure relief devices, boilers, storage tanks, and pipelines.


    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

    • a recognized engineering technology diploma in welding, materials, or mechanical engineering is preferred

    • 5+ years of related experience in the oil and gas industry

    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team

    • Highly organized and proven skilled to manage a large number of concurrent activities

    • Strong judgment, analytical and business skills

    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office

    • Must have knowledge in API and ASME codes, with familiarity of ABSA and ERCB pressure equipment regulations and directives

    • Must hold the appropriate In-service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency in accordance with AB-506 Inspection & Servicing Requirements for In-service Pressure Equipment and AB-513 Pressure Equipment Repair and Alteration Requirements. The ISI must hold at least one of the following Certificates of Competency established by the Administrator: 

    • In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency (Pressure Piping)

    • In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency (Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping, IPV)

    • In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency (In-service Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector, IBPV)

    • Must have or be willing to complete courses obtaining certification in API 510, 570 and 653

    • Valid Alberta Class 5 operators license

    • Ability to travel
