Commissioning and Start-up Manager – Leading Global Chemical Company – Beveren, Belgium – Permanent role with an industry leading package
A leading global chemical company with an enviable growth strategy require a Commissioning and Start-Up Manager for one of their mega  investment project’s in Beveren, Belgium.
The successful person will have extensive project experience with a strong operational background within  hydro/ethane cracker plants. They will report into the Project Director and work closely with the PMO and HSE teams to endure schedule is on track. The role is responsible for the preparation and execution of remotely leading the commissioning scope of work of a new Cracker Plant, working with international contractors and sub-contractors and effectively engaging and motivating a culturally diverse workforce.
The Commissioning and Start-Up Manager will ensure all pre-commissioning activities are managed effectively whilst leading other sub-projects and third parties for the pre-commissionjng and commissioning activities with a high focus on driving a safety culture.
The role will include defining all necessary resources, developing detailed commissioning procedures, approving deliverables of contracts and leading a large owners and EPC team. This leader will have a proven track record of commissioning and start-up of large-scale petro-chemical plants whereby they have effectively motivated  and inspired high performing teams. They will have strong acumen of risk management, challenging the status quo and building cross-cultural organisational capability.
It is essential that candidates are eligible to work in the EU and are able to travel/mobilise to other projects in the future.
