NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the Oil & Gas industry. Our client, has a contract to permanent opportunity for a HRIS Project Manager to be based in League City, TX.


 The HRIS Project Manager is a position within the Human Resources Department. The primary focus of this position is the implementation of the human resource information system (HRIS). This position establishes and manages the details of the project in addition to project deliverables, schedules, tasks, assignments, and execution. The HRIS Implementation Specialist serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity and testing of system changes, while driving deployment of the implementation process.

Essential Functions


    • Change management agent for all HRIS implementation communications

    • Coordination of all functional and support teams for implementation process

    • Anticipation and resolution of key issues which potentially impact the project, project schedule, scope, or quality

    • Management of issue resolution

    • Assisting Technical Team to simplify and improve current business processes

    • Organization and management of testing phase(s)

    • Developing of company-specific reports

    • Management and tracking of testing progress

    • Leading teams consisting of employees and managers to conduct end user testing

    • Reviewing existing feedback, information, and documentation to identify pain points, messaging opportunities, and the like/rest

    • Coordination of, participation in, and leading of weekly update meetings among HRD, Functional Leads, and Deployment Partner/Consultant

    • Ensuring accurate loading of information and data mapping with Deployment Partner and key Project Team Members



Required Education and Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

    • Minimum 5 years of HRIS or HR generalist or specialist experience

    • Minimum 3 years of project management experience

    • Systems implementation experience; Workday preferred

    • Experienced in full lifecycle requirement gathering, design implementation or coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of the HRIS project

    • Strong knowledge of HR and business processes

    • Good communication, presentation, consensus building, project management, and root cause analysis skills
