Job Description

This role represents a great opportunity to join an established and ever expanding, multidiscipline engineering company in Melbourne’s south east in their infrastructure department as a Project Surveyor. This position is well suited for someone who is looking to join a well-respected multinational company with potential for internal progression.


The main purpose of this role is to conduct set-out and volumetric surveys, reporting to the Construction Survey Manager, with time being spent evenly between being in the field and the office.  You will be accountable for all field and office work within your allocated portfolio.

Key responsibilities of the position comprise end to end project coordination, including; liaising with clients directly, preparation of fee proposals and invoicing. Additionally quality assurance of all aspects of work conducted on site is required due to this position being accountable for the delivery of the project therefore supervision of others in the conduct of their work is paramount. You may also be required to conduct as-constructed surveys.


To be successful, you must possess a relevant tertiary qualification with a strong mix of project co-ordination and field skills with the ability to operate efficiently with limited need for guidance. Additionally, Total station and GPS experience, Intermediate to advanced level of LISCAD and AutoCAD skills coupled with an understanding of QA systems and excellent communication skills is essential. A Victorian driver’s license is also a must.
