Job Description

NES Global Talent is working closely with a leading Engineering Design Consultancy in Perth to identify a Study Manager | Mining (Rail) for a 12-24 month Contract role. The candidate should ideally have previous mining heavy haulage rail remediation experience in Australia. This role will be FIFO 5/2 and 4/3 rosters from Perth to Karratha with camp accommodation.

Your responsibilities in the role
  • Managing all aspects of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies with particular responsibility for scope, schedule and quality of deliverables
  • Managing clients and stakeholders
  • Managing and co coordinating a multidiscipline design team
  • Liaising with the internal engineers and designers to complete study deliverables
  • Coordinate and deliver rail engineering studies
  • Assisting Business Development to develop proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies
What you need to be successful in the role
  • Previous site experience
  • Bachelor Civil Engineering Degree or relevant discipline
  • Extensive heavy haulage mining rail experience highly regarded
  • Experience working as a Study Manager or in a management role within mining industry
  • Possess superior report writing skills
  • Ability to manage and coordinate various engineering studies in Australia
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work within tight budget and schedule constraints
  • Experience in developing proposals, budgets and schedules for new studies
