Job Description

Our client, who has a major EPC project based in West London, are looking for an experienced Senior Project Accountant/Cost controller. 
We need an individual who has a proven track record of working within large, fast paced projects, to provide strong commercial and financial control and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for contribution to successful commercial delivery of the project. Previous experience of leading a team and co-ordinating with other functions will be key.

  • Ensure robust data validation and housekeeping activities within project to provide tight control of all costs incurred by the project
  • Responsible for timely delivery & preparation of budgets and forecast
  • Cost risk analysis to quantify & report risks and opportunities for monthly reports, including items such as currency fluctuation, scope change and cash flow
  • Provide on-going analysis and information regarding expenditure, commitments, forecasts and financial performance
  • Ensure that creation of invoices & supporting documentation to the client is co-ordinated and controlled and issued in a timely manner
  • Ensure preparation and validation of accruals, understand and apply accruals as part of monthly reporting figures
  • Manage all commercial and financial corporate reporting adhering to strict project reporting criteria and forecasting
  • Monitor the analysis and delivery of the project cost reports, undertake as required
  • Responsible for cost project team with respect to; assigning workload, supporting, developing/mentoring and training team members

  • Proven experience in a similar role operating at senior / similar level
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user
  • Highly numerate
  • Proven Commercial acumen
  • SAP User preferable
