Job Description

Your new company Our Mining client who is a Leader in Iron Ore is looking for Seven Mechanical (Fitter/Turner) to support with the routine and breakdown fixed plant mechanical maintenance. These positions will be contracting up to six months on a 2:1 roster and are available for an immediate start. Your new position This is a great opportunity for a safety focused team player who enjoys fault finding and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Team Leader Mechanical, you will be: • Undertaking maintenance tasks on Crushers, Screens, Scrubbers and Pumps and general Fixed Plant Equipment you will also have experience on alignments of drives and hydraulics. • Promoting and identifying health, safety and environmental opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours. • Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which will involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation. • Managing your workload and being a point of contact on jobs. • Utilising problem solving methodology to identify root causes and corrective actions. About you To be successfully considered for this role, you will have: • Fitter and turner trade qualification with a solid background maintaining fixed plant equipment. • Experience mentoring, coaching and sharing your knowledge. • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Able to identify, create and review reliability improvements in mechanical equipment. • Commitment to safety systems and experience participating in safety programs. It will also be beneficial if you have: • Elevated Work Platform, Forklift, Rigger, Dogger and Franna tickets. • Experience working with SAP and Microsoft Outlook.
